Mike Tremblay, our newest aquasition.
Mike is practicaly a legend in the city of Nanaimo and been a long time PRB customer since the early days. Mikey has been begging to work here since the the early 2000's so we finaly have given him the chance, so you'll find Mr.T here on mondays, fridays, and saturdays. Come on in and say hi.
How old is your helmet?
Did you know your helmet has a life expectancy, even if you've never crashed with it.
You bet, both Bell and Giro recomend you replace your lid every three to four years. A simple ploy to sell you more helmets right? No sir, there is actualy a techncal reason, the foam breaks down (damn UV)thus loosing it's structural strength.
Helmet companies don't sell replacement pads for a reason aswell. Their theory is if your helmet is so old the padding has dissintigrated it's time for a new helmet.
And last but not least, the new helmets are lighter, more comfy, and better vented than the older ones. So come try one on, and treat your mellon to a new bucket.
Didn't get a flyer?
If for some reason you didn't recieve a copy of our flyer don't sweat it. We have a few hundred left over here at the shop, so come on in and grab a copy and see what all the hype is about. Oh, and yes you can then enter the draw for the 2008 Norco Rival that will be won by some lucky person!
Sale, sale, sale.
We've done it again, starting April 1st for the whole month of April, we're going to have our huge yearly flyer sale. Everything from kids bikes, to freeride bikes, computers to fullface helmets, pumps to bike racks. Anything, and (almost) everything. If you don't get a flyer come on in and grab one, we have loads of extra's.
**Sale on all month.
The travellers are back.
They rode a lot farther than many of us thought they would.
They landed in Houston, headed north east through to the Mississipi River in Louisiana. Down the banks of the Mississipi to the gulf coast of Mexico, across the gulf to Austin, and then back to Houston.
22 day trip, with 19 days of riding, 1520km, and one tornado
And as far as there rides, two brand new (and I mean brand new) Norco Kwest touring bikes, one cable adjustment, pumping up the tires once, and that's it. Not one flat tire, not one broken spoke, nothing.
I'll post way more pics in the next few days.
New trail found.
It's been almost a year since I've ridden The Abyss, so maybe it's been there for quite a while, but I don't think so.
About a third of the way into The Abyss on the right side (the cliff side) there is a new trail called The Poker Run. It's just a small bypass trail maybe 5min. long that reconnects a little farther down the trail, but with some more use it will soon become a fun little alternative route to spice up your ride on this iconic trail.
