We've had the same members of staff at Pacific Rim Bicycle for several years now. Here's a chance for you to get to know us a bit better.
Dorothy Simpson
What bikes do you own? I'm currently riding a 2008 Norco Kwest for touring, and an older Rocky.
How long at P.R.B.? Like the rest of the clan, since day one pretty much.
What / where was your best ride ever? Touring Costa Rica for a month in 1998.
Worst crash? It was a very, very long time a go on the Abyss, I ended up with a stick in my leg. Many stitches came of that crash.
Favorite quote? "Sing like no one can hear you."
If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be? And why? Sherlock Holmes, I love that era. Minus Jack the Ripper of course.
What is one thing, until now nobody knows about you? I can't tell you that. But I did truly see a ghost one morning in Lethbridge.
Last but not least, when you're dead, what will you be remembered for? That I'm Ryan's mother.
Bob Simpson
What bikes do you own? I got a 07' Norco Fluid 2 and a 2008 Norco Kwest for touring.
How long at P.R.B.? Since the dawn of time, 1991.
What / where was your best ride ever? Touring Nova Scotia a few years ago.
Worst crash? Oddly enough it was last fall in just north of Los Angeles, I just pulled over to go "use the side of a tree" when unbeknownst to me there was a hidden chain link fence that practically attacked me thus causing me to plummet to the ground face first. Not cool!
Favorite quote? Oh baby, I got lot's of them. But a classic is "I'm busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest"
If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be? And why? Lee Iacoca or Donald Trump before the reality T.V. thing. I've got some more business tips for them.
What is one thing, until now nobody knows about you? I am capable of relaxing. Sometimes.
Last but not least, when you're dead, what will you be remembered for? My warm fuzzy side.
Ryan Simpson
What bikes do you own? Well I have a Norco Team Ti. With full second generation XTR, a '07 Norco Team road bike with 10sp. Ultegra, a 07/08 Haro Xeon, a WETHEPEOPLE 4 Seasons, and a ancient Rocky Fusion with first generation XTR.
How long at P.R.B.? Since day one, 1991.
What / where was your best ride ever? Either Porcupine Rim in Moab with Bob and Rob, or Peterson creek in Kamloops with Tanya on our honeymoon in 2000.
Worst crash? Whistler 4 years ago with our old mechanic Jason. I landed directly on the top of my head destroying my helmet, I barfed upon impact ( I was wearing a full face as well, ewww!), and was so soar I couldn't even drink any beers that night.
Favorite quote? "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die." Raoule Duke, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas.
If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be? And why? I'd love to hang with Barnie down at Moes, we'd down a few cold one's and go wander Sprinfield listening to Freebird.
What is one thing, until now nobody knows about you? I saw the Queen of England once in Victoria when I was a kid.

What bikes do you own? Norco CRD 1 road bike, Norco Six 2 (on the way)
How long at P.R.B.? I'm really just a fill-in here and there,
What / where was your best ride ever? Either "A-Line" at Whistler, or "Downtown" at Mammoth Mt., CA
Worst crash? On the Abyss, I hit a tree in mid-air
Favorite quote? "Too much of a good thing can be wonderful" Mae West
If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be? And why? JK Rowling would be pretty inspiring.
What is one thing, until now nobody knows about you? I used to be a kayak guide, and took out a Hollywood Director of Photography kayaking (they were filming Godzilla on the West coast.)
Last but not least, when you're dead, what will you be remembered for? Just being an all-around nice person (not very exciting, but there are worse things to be remembered for!)

What bikes do you own? A Norco Lil' Daisy. Thanks for the hook up Jay.
How long at P.R.B.? Five years this August.
What / where was your best ride ever? Around the pitch n' putt with mom.
Worst crash? In front of the house while riding with Georgia and Kameron. There was blood, it wasn't pretty.
Favorite quote? "That's a bad word dad"
If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be? And why? Island Princess Barbie, or Ariel.
What is one thing, until now nobody knows about you? I like broccoli.
Last but not least, when you're dead, what will you be remembered for? Being so darn cute, and hopefully being a princess.

What bikes do you own? Summers old Norco Trike. I didn't think the whole hand me down thing would apply to bikes, since you do own a bike shop DAD!
How long at P.R.B.? Two years this August.
What / where was your best ride ever? Around P.R.B.s showroom.
Worst crash? I got my self into a bit of a flesh pretzel in front of the helmet display a while ago.
Favorite quote? "No", "Up", "Cookie", "Moo" you know, all the normal ones.
If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be? And why? Elmo, or one of those cows or that funny blue dog on Baby Einstein.
What is one thing, until now nobody knows about you? I have a dark, mischievous, and sinister side to me. Just ask Summer.
Last but not least, when you're dead, what will you be remembered for? Dead, I'm not even two yet, don't be so damn morbid.
Jeff Chapple
What bikes do you own? I have a Norco VPS-4, a Norco Storm for commuting, and an Orange Patriot.
How long at P.R.B.? This January will be the beginning of my third year wrenching at the shop.
What / where was your best ride ever? I still fondly look back at my days in Courtenay.
Worst crash? Let's put it this way my Giro Switchblade fell victim to a dirt jump session, and I have felt the hood of a Toyota Tercel at 4:30 a.m. on 17th. Street in Courtenay. Nuff said!
