Snow to Surf explained! - 26th April
156 teams, 9 people per team, that makes for 1404 very thirsty athletes and on very busy beer gardens!
Oh yeah, the race, how did the the Pacific Rim Rollers do? Well here's the skinny.
First things first, the downhill ski, it's horrible! Possibly the worst 10 minutes a human can ever be subjected to. but I persevered (sp?) anyways.
After barfing my brains out I continued down to watch Frechie (Eric) finish the XC Ski, the spandex was working this day as he seemed to do quite well. We then cheered on Nicole as she succesfully completed the longest run of her life, way to go Nicole!
The hand off to Dorothy went off with out a hitch, dorothy put the hurt on the running competion and made it safe and sound to Wendy who cleaned up on the MTB ride.
Bob completed the Kayak with out a problem (thanks to Laura for lending us her Kevlar Kayak)
And then came our ringer, Katherine. An amazing ride on road bike section, Hazza!
And last but not least Tanya and randy hit one sand bar, but canoed to the finish without an incident. (thanks for the canoe Jeff!)
So where did we end up on the finish board? 96th!
Cracked the the top 100, wait for next year! I figure top 50...Ha!!
